This week was the last week before Easter, which generally means lots of disruption! Sixth Form have also been sitting mock exams, so I’ve been trying to keep things as calm and normal as possible.
With my fellow library assistant leaving last week, I definitely feel that I’ve had more to do recently! It’s been a busy but really interesting week…
Last week our school had a ‘hub day’, where students have an inset and staff are able to do training. As we didn’t have anything specific happening across the academy network this time (unlike the last hub day), I was able to get out and visit another school library.
Thursday 1st March was World Book Day, and while many schools across the country were closed due to the snow, we weren’t and we made it in for a fun day with teachers in full fictional character costumes!
If you work in a school or a library setting, chances are you’re aware that next Thursday is World Book Day. I certainly am, as it seems to have taken over my work this week!
This week has been another interesting week for me – with the half term holiday looming, I’ve had some interesting interactions with students and various other bits and pieces to deal with!
This isn’t the first time I’ve mentioned it, and it probably won’t be the last, but once again this week I’ve struggled with some of the behaviour management aspects of the job. Hopefully I’m learning more about how to deal with it…
